Position:   Phone Screener and On-Call Promotions Event Staff

Lotus Seattle Corp (KNWN, Talk Radio 570 KVI, HANK 101.5/KPLZ) is seeking part-time Phone Screener and Promotions Event Staff team members to work at station events and represent stations in a positive, professional manner.

This is a great opportunity to earn extra money by working at various stations’ events including (but not limited to) community events, retail/client events, and more. You will meet new people and engage with the public. Plus, interact with multi-media marketing pros to get an edge on your career with real world experience. This is a great job for all ages over the age of 18. If you are retired, a veteran, looking to fill some time on the weekends, in college looking for some extra part time work or interested in the radio and television industry this is a great opportunity. Please note that this position has regular hours on Saturday (9am-2pm) and can have additional hours when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operating audio controls and digital computer cart system
  • Screening phone calls
  • Running live and recorded talk shows, for weekend shifts and other shifts as assigned
  • Maintaining transmitter status of multiple sites
  • Recording, playback and audio routing for remote broadcasts and network studio events.
  • Running a radio control board and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Interact with hosts and callers in a respectful manner.
  • Work as promotions staff at various station events – including set up and break down.
  • Drive the station vehicle to events in a professional manner and return them gassed up and organized.
  • Act as liaison between radio station and public.
  • Interact with listeners in a respectful manner.

Qualifications: 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Washington State Driver’s License with a good driving record.
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic attitude, commitment to quality work and a self-starter.
  • Must be able to work well with and communicate with a variety of different people.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills (telephone, written, verbal).
  • Good public relations and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Knowledge about social media a plus.

Essential Functions: 

  • Must be available weekends and be able to work flexible hours (including some holidays, nights & weekdays) in addition to Saturday shift: 9am to 2pm
  • Must be dependable and able to take directions.
  • Have reliable transportation.
  • Must arrive on time or early for all functions.
  • Ability to read and speak clearly.
  • Ability to operate all job-related equipment.
  • Excellent hearing and sight with or without corrective equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs – Tents, tables, and boxes for set up.

Preferred Previous Work Experience: 

  • Customer Service
  • Brand Ambassador

Job Type: Part-time

Ability to commute/relocate: 

  • Seattle, WA 98119: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience: 

  • Social media management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Media Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification: 

  • Driver’s License (Required)
